Education is the foundation for advancement in life. It determines success or failure. It determines life or death. It determines who will lead and who will follow. If Education is the foundation, then history is the cornerstone. Knowing who you are, where you came from and where you are going is essential - ask the people of Sumer. One of the testimonies of history tells of a passing stranger who asked an elder about the people of Sumer and the great civilization they created. "What happened to the people of Sumer?" the stranger asked. "Ah" the old man sighed, "they lost their history, so they died!"
The most critical and fundamental aspect of education is the knowledge of history, especially the history of one's people and self. People become who they believe they are or can be. Steve Biko said that "the greatest weapon in the hands of the oppressor is the mind of the oppressed.' The mental bondage (foreign control of how one sees themselves and the world) of Africans on the continent of Africa and in the Diaspora is managed primarily through the distortion of their history and a dehumanization of their self image. This negative distortion of African history and image is created, nurtured and maintained throughout the Euro American world in all aspects of their influence and control, educationally, legally, religiously and politically. This is done by removing the great accomplishment and contributions of African people from the pages of history and accrediting them to others. Africans are then portrayed for the most part as slaves, criminals and the very footstool of humanity. They are projected as people belonging to another world - A separate "Third world" of people lacking the intellectual capacity, sophistication, determination and wisdom to be independent and self-sufficient, without the benevolence and authority of the White Power Structure.
Too many Africans around the world have internalized this false and debilitating image of themselves and their people. Thus, becoming mentally and physically controlled by those who control the images and information about them. They feel inferior and have a low self esteem. And in too many cases hate themselves and their race. However, the African mind is as old as time. It created the entire knowledge base for understanding the universe we find ourselves in. Because of a process which lasted over two thousand years and resulted in the enslavement of the African Nation and people We find ourselves today oppressed, believing that the African is inferior, much of the African genius has been stunned or imprisoned in a "Eurocentric" worldview causing the African to see the world through European eyes.
Correcting the information and image of Africans will break this Eurocentric control of the African mind, thus allowing Africans to perceive the world again through a worldview that enabled them to formulate the equations that gave the world the concept of time, the calendar, religion, science, art, mathematics and the pyramids) Africans around the world knowing that in their genes is the knowledgebase that built the modern world will be motivated to achieve even greater heights than their ancestors. They will find cures for incurable diseases and new ways to develop clean and abundant energy for the world. IMANI - the faith of Africans believing in themselves and the righteousness of their struggle is the key to liberate their minds. Fredrick Douglas said that power yields to nothing but power, it always had and it always will. Therefore, only Africans can free themselves.
At TransAtlantic Productions, our mission has been to continue the legacy by using video production to record and archive the information and the events that can free the African mind. This comprehensive collection researched by leading African centered lectures establishes that Africans were not only the mothers and fathers of the human family, but were the creators of art, science, government, social science, religion, mathematics, philosophy, writing, architecture, astronomy, and much, much more.

TransAtlantic Productions toured Nigeria with the world's greatest scientist - Nigerian born Professor Gabriel Audu Oyibo, who completed the work of Dr. Albert Einstein. He formulated the equation for the unified field theorem. Dr. Oyibo's work is critical because it is said that the laws of mathematics and physics are quantitative as well as qualitative: they are capable of furnishing precise answers not only to questions such as "how "or "why" but also to questions such as "how much," "how far," or "how long." Mathematics is the language of the universe. When you can not express what you are talking about in numbers, your knowledge is of a meager and unsatisfactory kind: it may be the beginning of knowledge, but you have scarcely, in your thoughts, advanced to the stage of Science, whatever the matter may be. Professor Gabriel Oyibo's work gives us the equation to model pheonomena in the universe.
TransAtlantic Productions also documented:
